 Gibbs High School Class of 1971 - Latest News 02-17-2026 - Renewed Class Official Website (2026 1yr) May be the Last! I just renewed our class official website subscription today for another year ($139 yr). Ken Hammons and I developed this site in 2014 for you to go back and reminisce those who have lost their year book, and catch up with the latest news of our class members. Check out the latest updated version and let me know of any changes. This may be the last year it will be renewed by me. Ken is no longer available to continue the process as a Moderator/Administrator. Anyone wishing to become a Moderator/Administrator and help with the subscription, please contact me. Francine Williams-Green, email: greenhouse2304@yahoo.com Thank you - Enjoy! 11-10-2014 - RESIGNATION OF CO-CHAIRMAN Gibbs Class of 1971: This may have come to a surprise to some who came to the Class meeting on Oct 26th, I regrettably tendered my resignation as Co-Chairman of our Class Reunion. Due to personal and serious health reasons, I had to step down and "Let Go and Let God" guide my healing process. A transition of leadership occurred with Barbara Thomas, Leila Wilson and Thomas Shorter leading our future class reunions. We are more organized now with Cheryl Thomas as our new Fund Raising Coordinator and Stephanie White as Publicity Coordinator. Willie Alice Jackson-Gray out did herself with her healthy and delicious catered buffet. Other Coordinators/Committees reported with enthusiasm. It was a good meeting, even though the Life Time Membership Committee dissolved, which I believed could have been a funding source for the class financial sovereignty. Ken Hammons and I will continue to maintain the class website… www.gibbshighclass1971.com. After 20 years of leading class events I, and my leadership team, saw you through the birth of your children, completion of your educational goals, pursuing your careers, and supporting you mentally, spiritually and some of you financially. I have no regrets for service or keeping our class family together. I pray that your new leadership will continue to uplift, inspire and empower our classmates. Location will be determined and notified. 02-12-2014 - Updated Features - Check it out! Check out the new updated features: Missing/Found Classmates, Deceased, and 40th Reunion Photos were added. Click on your name in the "Contact Classmates" feature on the home page to view or update your information or contact an Administrator to post it for you. A complete list of all the deceased class members has been added. Any information as to "what year" they passed away will be helpful. Also, photos of the 40th Reunion have been posted.
